Mother and child health care program

Location of the project          : Kadambari, Agaoiljara, Barisal.

  Duration of the Project          : Started in 2007 ( Continuing)

  Funded by                              : Ms. Sheenag Day, Masion Bengal, UK, and Tarango Own Fund

Barisal region is one of the flood prone areas, and is severely affected by the monsoon floods. On the other hand, due to low land area, water log remain almost round the year. Therefore, water born diseases are common in this area. With the personal financial assistance of some beloved friends of Tarango, the Healthcare project started in November 2007. Despite of financial concern, Tarango is continuing this noble project since its inception. 

Key Activities:

 Free doctor prescription 2 days a week

  • Medicine support to pregnant mothers, children and adolescents.
  • In case of emergency or serious patients, provides referral service.

Healthcare support service:

TARANGO’s provides primary health care with medicine support to pregnant mothers, children and adolescents. A registered doctor seats two days a week and provides advices and required treatments. In case of emergency or serious patients, it provides referral services. This year total 981 beneficiaries had received health care support. The types of patients are as follow:
