VSLA (Village Savings and Loan Association) is one major component of ‘’Food Security CHT Project’’ as a baseline program that making capital fund for increasing investment capacity and create emergency fund for facing emergency period. The core objectives of VS&L program is building some independent community managed savings and microfinance association by using democracy and transparency system. The VS&L Association is self-managed association that do not receive any external capital and provide people with a secure place to save their money, access small loans, and obtain emergency insurance. The approach is characterized a focus on savings, asset building, and the provision of credit proportionate to the needs and repayment capacities of the borrowers.
